All administrative, certified/professional and support staff applications will only be accepted through the Alabama State Department website. Go to http://www.alsde.edu/TeachinAlabama/ to complete the on-line application. On the Where do you want to work? page, click “Deselect All”. Then click on the “+” located next to the Alabama State Department Education check box. Click the box next to District 3 and click “+” next to the District 3 box. Check the box for Lowndes County and complete all sections of the application; do not put “see resume´”.
Once you have completed the application you will receive a response from the Alabama State Department of Education thanking you for submitting your electronic application. If your application is incomplete, you will be notified by the State to complete those required fields.
Position classifications are as follows:
Administrative: Principals, Assistant Principals and other Administrative/Supervisory positions
Certified/Professional: Teachers, Counselors, Psychometrists, and Media Specialist
Support Staff: Bookkeepers, Bus Aides, Bus Drivers, Clerical Aides, CNP Workers, Custodians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Maintenance Workers, Secretaries, Paraprofessionals, Mechanics
Administrative and Certified/Professional applicants must include the following attachments in the electronic application:
· References – You must request for three references to be completed. When completing your online application there is an option that will automatically send your reference a request to complete. You must check “Yes” and list their email address in the appropriate box.
